Cara, meaning "dear" in Italian, embodies the emotions fine jewelry evokes—how it makes us feel when we wear it, the love we express when gifting it, and the significance of investing in ourselves and others. Each one of our pieces is meticulously hand-crafted by expert bench jewelers, using only the finest ethically sourced materials. Designed to be held dear, our pieces are made to last for generations to come.
About our founder
The idea for CARA began after our founder, Crystal, started researching diamonds while designing her own engagement ring and became fascinated with the industry. This fascination led her to taking courses at the Gemological Institute of America, earning her certificate in Diamond Essentials. Soon after, CARA was born.
As the daughter of a geologist, Crystal grew up in the world of minerals and rocks—even tagging along on the occasional fossil dig. Her parents immigrated to the U.S. in the late ‘80s and though they eventually became successful, they had invested every penny in themselves and their family, forgoing material possessions for themselves. Her parents’ sacrifices paved the way for the creation of CARA, and in turn, CARA aims to create heirlooms for a new generation.
